Personal Statement

I am an academic coach who has worked with children for more than 35 years.  I hold a Master of Arts degree in Education (MAED) from the University of Southern California, a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from California State University, Hayward,  and a life coaching certificate from CoachU University. I have attended countless workshops and read hundreds of books and am expertly educated in the field of self-growth.  I also studied under my mentor, a master Waldorf teacher, for almost ten years.

My education aside, I know that what makes me truly effective with  troubled children  is something that goes beyond education and even experience.   My heart is open. I have always known in the depths of my heart that, that very thing is my secret weapon.  It has always been my engaged heart that has helped me inspire my students to change negative habits and to perform at their best academically.

I am passionate about making a positive difference in children’s lives.  I love seeing them fly!
