Logan (2years old) and Haiden (4.5) share a set of matchbox cars for the living room and then have a set of cars in their own room where its just theirs.
Well haiden decided to fight over the cars he knows he needs to share with his brother. Well logan took a car and haiden had a temper tantrum. He screamed, kicked, threw things, and full out angry. I told haiden there is at least 20 cars he could have why fight over cars ans trucks. He still having a meltdown so i decided to go in the
Kitchen and get freezer bags. I got a marker and wrote their names on the bag( haiden knows his name and knows how to spell it). And i put cars in their bag the same amount. I gave haiden his bag and said here is your bag, and gave logan hia bag of cars.
Haiden then was mad ans refused his bag of cars. And logan was amused at the zipper so he kept unzipping and pulling cars out, then zipping the bag. Loan then decided he would dumo his car in the bin they go in. Haiden says why is logan doing that. I told haiden cuz logans a nice brother and is willing to share with u. So after i told haideb that he decided he would dump his bag of cars in the bin.
Now they are picking through cars and puttinf it in their bags and then dumping it out back into the bin.
The idea totally beat the purpuse i had in mind but now they are not fighting.

if my kids dont want to share their boys they get them taken away.....im not going to go through all their childhood saying no you cant play with your sisters toy or you cant play with your brothers toy....they will need to share in school anyways.

I don't think there was any overreaction at all.
