Pregnancy
It was only once last week. And I know a lot of other women have smoked during pregnancy too (did my research before doing anything promise!)
To those of you who have smoked while preggers: how far along were you? any regrets?
don't bother bashing please :/

I am "pro" health and safety.
This can mean some preterm labor prescription meds, a spinal for a necessary cesarean, etc.
And this also means as natural as safely possible.
And that avoiding unnnecessary risks is safest.
* Some moms disagree with marijuana but agree to many prescription / over-the counter / labor (pain & induction) meds.. That does raise some questions~~
Every scenario is unique and to say that an epidural IS always "bad" is like saying pot IS always "bad," or anything else.... Sometimes it might be safer than (rare) exceptions. -
Well With my first baby i smoked pretty much until i was about 6 months pregnant, HE IS SMART AS HELL and is HEALTHY. i am 6 weeks pregnant with baby number 2 and i smoke with my husband every now and then, ( it helps ease my nausea and headaches and helps my appetite) so i would say youre ok, IF YOU ARE REGRETTING IT then just dont smoke until after the baby. GOOD LUCK!!

I'm just curious how it works in other states.... but if a mother is found with illicit drugs in possession or in her system (especially while pregnant) she can lose her kids. Is this not true anywhere else?
At the hospital I work at in GA, if baby is junky he/she is taken into custody immediately, the parents can't even see the baby in the hospital unless its through a glass and a security guard is placed outside the nursery to avoid the parents trying to take the baby.
Why in the hell would anyone want to risk that is beyond me.

i agree with what she said, in the red! in CA your baby is tested no mattter what! and if its a positive your in for tons of troubles, its not worth it!

Your doctors office could start drug testing you,and if you fail (which something tells me you will) then they have the right (legal obligation) to contact CPS when your baby is born. Really not trying to bash you,but come on! Save the drugs for when you are not pregnant. It isn't about you anymore. You know how many pregnant women quit smoking, drinking, or whatever (myself included)! Its 9 months out of your whole life. Do it for your baby.
