my son is 17 1/2 months old and he understands time outs .if you are consistant with the timeouts everytime she throws a fit she will put 2 and 2 together and realize when i do this this happens and stop the fits or what ever.

I have the same problem, & I just ignore him when he throws his fits and starts throwing himself around everywhere.

If he is doing something to hurt his little brother, I will grab him by the hand and take him into another room, and leave him there.
