To co-sleep or not...
November 14, 2012 at 4:57 PM

My dd is 5 weeks old...she slept in her bassinet for 2 weeks, and then when she went through her 3 week growth spurt, she'd SCREAM, and ever since we've been sleeping in the lazyboy or sitting up in bed.

She refuses to sleep without being held...i'm at my wits end.
But my dh is afraid that we'll mush her or she'll fall off or get hurt while we're sleeping.
I don't know what to do..I want sleep. I want to be in bed with my husband...

We DO try putting her down, but she'll make it maybe 5 minutes then wake up and scream, knowing we put her down :/

I bedshare with dd, but I'm single and I travel back and forth a lot, often to places without cribs. I stronly suggest a co-sleep bassinet, that way you can pick her up when she cries without getting up, and you won't "smush" her.

I was always scared to cosleep when my DD was a newborn. Only at about 7 months though we started to bedshare.

We never co-slept but our dd had her days/nights mixed up. My dh and I had to take "shifts" with her in order for us to get some sleep. If we were lucky, dd would sleep on our shift so we could get some extra z's.
