To pageant a ten mth old, or to pageant at all, yay or nay?!

Nay - until the child is old enough to make that decision on their own. I think the younger the child is when they first get involved the more likely they will be to think "this is just the way it is..." and even if they don't enjoy it, they will be hesitant to say aything for fear of "hurting mom's feeling". Also, only if your family is in the financial situation to afford all the things that go with pageants. And, please don't "over-sexualize" your child, if they want to do pageants, find the more "all natural" ones, not the ones you are spray-tanning your 6 year old for!

What age if 10 mths is the reason for nay?

10 months is too young. Wait until she's at least old enough that you don't have to hold her. That always looks odd that parents have to hold the kids up there. Let her decide if she wants to do it.

It would only be for your enjoyment at that age.
