I did this before even thinking or wanting another child as he always said he wanted two.
Well after talking we tried and we are now expecting a baby. I am 4 weeks along.
I told dh i wanted to go smaller so when baby is not using it, i can fold thing up and store it in a corner, and can take things to friends house or family. And careseats we have to change every 5years or when expired, and the carseat i had will be 5years old and i want a differnt kind and plus one that can fit in my sit and stand double stroller.
I got rid of the clothes and used the in store credit for my boys and plan on doing that with their spring and summer stuff and use that in store credit for new spring and summer stuff for them and baby clothes.
Was i an idiot, as i am buying new stuff like carsear, bouncy seat, clothes, changing table and diaper genie, bottle as i wanted to always try the nuk bottles.

There are so many options for buying second hand - cost effectively. In our area they have these really large consignment sales they hold at various locations around town - in quite a few Churches. The items I have found are all gently used if not new (somethings have had tags on them).
Google/Bing consignment sale and your area and see what you find. As well as other consignment stores. You have time to get the stuff you need. Also put the word out at your kids school/play groups - you will receive lots of options I am sure.

I had things that could be folded and transported. They were less expensive and took up less room. About the clothes- that's your choice. I reused the clothes that I had when I could.
