Question about my toddler help needed
December 5, 2012 at 4:46 PM

Hey my son is 17 months old and just started walking. He walks all over the house but once we put him in shoes to go out he refuses to walk. He never wore shoes much before now and he need to wear them now. I was wondering if anyone had this issue and how they got their kids to walk in shoes. Thanks

I think I'd argue with the idea that he 'needs' to wear them now.

Softer soled shoes that move more naturally with his feet are better for his growing bones anyhow... so things like Robies are better than those classic 'baby shoes' that are kind of like walking in bricks.

I agree that soft soled shoes are best and make sure they fit comfortably. Maybe they are hurting or squeezing. I have to be careful when buying my dd shoes cause she has a thick foot so even if the size is right the fit may not be.
