Already been done here about that boy whose ridiculous parents raised him to believe that he could be a girl if he clicked his heels together three times and really believed...

I saw this on our local news yesterday evening and I was completely and totally infuriated that the school district would behave in such a manner towards this poor child! Now, I can totally understand that they might be a bit wary of allowing a physically male child to use the ladies restroom; however, this child thinks, acts, and lives as a female. Furthermore, women's bathrooms are NOTHING like men's bathrooms. There are doors on every single stall, she would not be going into the restroom and having the others 'see' anything that might freak them out - so my personal opinion is that they need to shut the hell up and leave this child be!

I thought by now people would have started acting reasonable about these things but I can see we have a long way to go.  Poor kid

Would the above reactions be different if it was a born female child who lived a male? Would you also support a 5 yr old boy with a vagina in the boys restroom?

I honestly don't care which way the cookie crumbles... if the child lives, eats, breathes as the opposite in my mind, they are. People need to get this "black & white" or "Girl or Boy" mentality out of their minds.

When I look at my kids and try to imagine them in that child's shoes it truly breaks my heart.  Let her use the damn women's bathroom.  There are stalls with doors.  This kid has been dealt a bad hand and it just so fucking unnecessary to further ostracize and harass her. Regardless if you believe she could be an actual transgender or not, she's a child and it's just so wrong to pick on her.

I went to school with a transgender in elementary. Girl wanted to be a boy. She dressed as a boy, had short hair as a boy played with both boys and girls. She still went by her female name, had pierced ears but only wore earrings once, and she still went into the girls restroom. She was more than just a tomboy, I was/am a tomboy, and I had/still have feminine qualities, she did not. Probably as she got older she associated herself more as a male. After I moved schools, I didn't know what became of her.

I respect each and every persons right to socially identify with the gender roles the feel best suits them. But I don't see how what clothes you wear/ how you style your hair, mannerisms etc.. that define one's gender has to do with bathroom assignment. IMO bathroom assignment should have to do with genitals. If its about anything else miswell get rid of separate bathrooms all together.
