And I need idea for signs! There's a pro life protest tomorrow at one of our 2 abortion clinics. A group of fellow pro choice heathens have decided to stand in their opposition. The only signs I've come up with are "I'll be here for hugs when you're done" and "it's your body, your choice" got any others? I have to leave by 1:00 central time so any input would be awesome!
UPDATE:
So, we just wrapped up over here and it went extremely well. We talked to the staff and they gave us permission to escort the ladies in and out of the building. We stood with signs that said 'we will walk with you for support' We all brought our iPods and headphones so the girls could wear them and not be exposed to the nastiness being spewed their way. We held up large cardboard signs at our sides to block the PL signs. I even got a hug **sniffle**. We handed out cards with our phone numbers, local crisis centers, and health departments to access birth control. We also handed out pamphlets on birth control. It was a peaceful day and I'm thankful we got to shield women who were already going through a difficult time from ugliness. We used many suggestions that came from you ladies. Thank you all so much!

A good one might be something simple: "I am not ashamed, you shouldn't be either." Or something to that effect
Hugs was a good one especially if we are hoping actual patients read them instead of just passers by. A simple "I have your back." Or "I trust your judgment." are sentiments that women in that situation can't hear enough because of the constant second guessing they are doing to themselves as well as receiving. -
I think I'm going to use all 3 of those.

She's cool
Quoting ashellbell:
Lol that was a senator from my state at a protest I was at when they were trying to pass the personhood bill. I love her!
Quoting AliKatCam:
I like this poster

Quoting ashellbell:
That's actually a great idea! Thank you!
Quoting AliKatCam:
I would bring a few blank signs and some markers to the actual protest. That way you can play off of the things that the pro-lifers have written.
Btw: I love that you are doing this

certainly made me feel better seeing those prolifers being put threw the wringer but the pro choice crowd.
Quoting Lunarprancer:
ABSOLUTELY, and I say it out loud when I drive by them holding their futile signs.
Letting them know they aren't alone? Them being who? Will you be outside of a clinic where a particular population goes?
Im just saying that when it comes to that point, no one holding a sign is helping anything.
Quoting ashellbell:
Would you say that to the pro life protestors as well? Letting women know that they aren't alone isn't a waste of my time. Thank you though.

Find something better , more productive, to do with your time.
