These are some unique baby names I've heard recently that got me thinking.

I both like and dislike them. What are your feelings?

Boys:

Hendel (HEN-dul)

Pembroke (PEM-brook)

Girls:

Golda (GOLD-a)

Bryndis (BRIN-diss)

Meh....They're ok I guess..I love Celtic, mythological, and hippie (nature, spices, gems, etc) names.  Are these German?  They sound like fairy tale names. :)

I like Pembroke, though it may be a bit too posh for American boys.

Golda I love; I think it is beautiful. Maybe as a nickname for Marigold if you aren't 100% sold on it.

    Bryndis is very pretty.

Hendel has a good look and a fine sound, it just doesn't jump out at me.

I don't know about Hendel but it sounds Jewish / Yiddish to me.

Pembroke I assume is English. I looked it up and it says "Celtic."

Golda is primarily used by Jewish cultures, and Bryndis is Scandinavian.

Pembroke makes sense, that is pretty English sounding.  The rest sound like they were lifted from the Brothers Grimm.  lol.  I like literary names though.

I like Bryndis the best, but it's probably not one I would use. Pembroke sounds like the name of a snooty all boy's school where they wear suits for uniforms, lol!
