Someone please explain

shruggingI guess I really don't pay attention but can someone please explain to me what it means when people write BUMP on a post?  Is it a good or bad thing or neither?

    Just bumping it back to the top

    It moves the post up to the top of the group. Sometimes if people don't know how to respond to a post, they bump it, so that it moves to the top of the page so that others will see it and may respond.

    I didn't know the actual word "bump" meant that until about a month ago. LOL

    It's not a bad thing~ it just puts the post back to the top that way others can see it and /or get more replies to the post.

    I have been wondering myself why moms did that too lol, now I know :-)

    I just learned a couple of months ago in another group that explained what different abbreviations mean. For a long time I was lost - I had no idea what dh, dd, and ds meant.

    I think you saw my meaning of Bump in another post in this group.
