getting ears pierced!!!

I'm wanting to gt my daughters ears pierced, soon!
She's 3months old, has had vaccines, doc says 'no prob- its a personal choice'....
What do u gals think-

My daughter got hers done when she was 4 months old and i never had any kind of problem with them or with her playing with them.

My daughter is 16 months and will get her ears pierced when she asks for it.

Now is a good time to do it. She more than likely wont mess with them or pull on them at this age. I was wanting to get our dds done at about that age, but we didn't have money at the time so it still hasn't gotten done and she's 19 months now.

My daughter got hers done a year ago at age 10. Personal preference.

I used to work for a family practice and the doctor used to try to talk parents out of getting their ears pierced young.

Sometimes when the ear grows, the hole will grow when they get it done real young. If you do decide have it done, do it at the doctors office or at a tattoo/piercing place. They sterilize and are trained better then a place at the mall.

I did look into it & asked @ pierce pogada-
There's no sterilization since they use the earrings u purchase there to pierce bebes ear,
No cross contamination :)

My dd is almost 6 and her ears are not pierced yet.  We're waiting until she decides that she wants them pierced.  My niece just had hers done at 11.

I won't have my daughter's ears pierced until she's old enough to understand what's happening and old enough to tell me that's what she wants.

If you want to get them pierced, now is the best time before she pulls on them. It's your decision and no one else's if you want to pierce her ears as a baby. When she gets older and decides she doesn't like them all she has to do is not wear earrings. She won't be self conscious either, not like they deform her ears, just leave small holes.

I think it is a personal choice. Not sure if it is something I would do.
