it's cute ... I know you're not done yet but you should border the pictures with something;  a simple ribbon would add a lot of "finishing touch" to this !!  I'm sure she'll love it - I did something similar for my parents a few years back when we took our family trip to italy my mom still has in hanging in the main hall at her house
