LOL I have never cooked a turkey before either. The year I did Thanksgiving was the year my ex's grandmother was laid up in the hospital & no one wanted to do anything... except my exSIL who was bitching that it wasn't fair no one was doing anything. I just went to the local grocery & got several thick cut (1/2 inch thick) of turkey from the deli & put them in the crock pot with some chicken broth. Turned out really good!

My husband and I were veg for many years. Yet somehow my husband always ended up carving the turkey. Kinda odd.
