embarrassment....
February 23 at 11:14 PM
My 12 yr old (we suspect some type of asd).. she despises embarrassing moments.

She doesn't have meltdowns over it, but if we watch something embarrassing, she will cover her head and whimper and groan. She sort of laughs at herself while doing it. She has left the room hiding tears over it.

However, she can watch a gory murder movie or something really sad without a reaction.

She is such a nut!

My son does the exact same thing at 15. It is pretty funny in the movies.

Its not romance, its embarrassment. If say a kid drops pudding on another kids head and everyone laughs.

    Oh sorry.

She is undiagnosed because we aren't sure yet what to do. I had a really bad childhood and exibited awful behaviors. I find I don't always take things right either. Even simple stuff.

I wish some one else could make these decisions for me.
