A deep sadness at the holiday.

I just learned through a friend's Facebook page of the death of a former student at our school and a classmate of my son's. This young man was only twenty-five and left children behind. I don't want to be any more specific for the family's sake, but as a mom I can't imagine the sorrow of this family, to lose a child and so close to the holidays. Please send good thoughts, prayers, or whatever way you connect to the universe to this family. I know I will hug my son a bit tighter when he comes home from his 24 hour shift tomorrow.
