Cinder and Thorne break out of prison. Scarlet is still searching for her Grandmother who has been missing for some time. She does wonder more what she might know. Wolf is on a mission for the pack , and has some issues with Ran. Wolf and Scarlet romance is slow building , and there are some trust issues that need to be worked through.

Cinder and Thorne and looking for princess Selene , and Scarlet's Grandmother has some information for her. I did enjoy seeing the chapters in different views of Cinder & scarlet.  I did enjoy this book much  more than what I expected. I found that i enjoyed this more than Cinder. From My Five Monkeys Blog.

Strands of Bronze and Gold Book Review

Sophie is taken into the home of her godfather's house . There she experiences wealth and the finer things in life. Her siblings are doing okay but they are struggling.  She is only friends with the servants. Her godfather Monsieur Bernard de Cressac is interested in her romantically , and he has been married 4 other times.

Sophie likes to go for walks in the forest. She meets Gideon  who is a preacher , and has had a run in with Monsieur de Cressac dog. He is a good friend , and also interested in her too. Bernard is able to help Sophie's family financially, and he proposes marriage to her. Sophie is at a crossroad , and she knows that Bernard has a temper. She is also seeing and hearing the other wives. Bernard is wonderful man , and cares deeply , but he can also be very controlling with his wishes.

This was a wonderful retelling of Blue Beard. I have always had a thing for smart criminals ie Jigsaw.  This is also a psychological thriller because all of this takes place on the property. Sophie wants to solve the mystery , and she cares for the slave movement. This book was richly detailed in descriptions of rooms, and food.

    Book Review= B+

Thanks for this...Ususally I pick books that are for review from publishers and near the pub date, but I also have some fun reading mixed in .

My blog started as a family blog and slowly changed into a book review blog. I have made some wonderful friends in this community. I also have friends that share books and get me books from ALA or BEA :)
