Do you remember your favorite Saturday Cartoons and shows?
November 7, 2007 at 10:58 AM
I thought it would be fun to take a minute to sit back and think about the past.  I was driving my youngest to school this morning and on came ABBA's "Dancing Queen" one of my favorite songs.  It took me back and started a great conversation with my 8 year old about the things I love when I was her age.  So, think back and tell me about some of your favorite songs, cartoons, and shows.  Here are a few of my own:

Laugh Olympics
Skate Birds
School House Rock
Fat Albert
The Magic Garden (loved the giggle patch)
ZOOM
Romper Room
Land of the Lost
Wonder Woman
Time for Timer (shorts)
Shannana
All American Hero
GREASE

Ah yes! Saturday morning cartoons were great! I remember having to use an actual KNOB to change the TV channel, and watching LOCAL stations, of which there were about 6.

    I loved:
    - Looney Tunes
    - Transformers
    - Kids Incorporated
    - Dungeons & Dragons
    - Voltron
    - Scooby Doo
    - Smurfs

If you are really talking just cartoons...

I'd have to go with FLINSTONES, JETSONS, LOONEY TOONS.

If you are talking shows *after school stuff then it has to be the  Brady Bunch- hands down.  More often than not, the opening scene was the sliding glass door looking out onto the porch and the kids walking thru the back yard coming in from school.

    DAVEY JONES was DREAMY!!

Thundercats, smurfs, looney tunes, scooby, she-ra, he-man, wonder woman, spider man, greatest american hero, rags to riches, and so many more that I can't think of.
