I once washed and dried my whites with a blue crayon. I was able to get the crayon out of some things using the stuff mechanics use to clean their hands. Gojo,? or something like that, it didnt work on everything, but i did salvage a few things.

DH loves leaving chapstick in his pockets. I don't know how many things have been ruined in the dryer because of that stuff. Try using GOOP on it. If it's ruined anyway, it can't hurt to try.
