Have any of you ladies changed career paths? How easy or difficult was it to change? I'm contemplating changing careers but I'm on the fence and I think it would be hard since all of my background is HR and supervisor experience

I recently moved and ended up changing careers. It was mainly because corporate wants to take my office in a different direction and I have the supervisory experience. The problem is that no one in my office wants to change plus the career field is completely different. I miss the industry I was in before. That being said, you can always apply and if someone hires you, try it out! I did change careers once before and ended up loving it! That's what I want to get back to. -
Yes, I have. For years I wanted to, but felt I was too specialized (music ed. degree/music teacher). Turned out not to be that hard :)
After 13 years as a teacher, I quit & became a Product specialist at an educational software company, and now I'm a product manager at the same company. While I still have an education focus, the career is COMPLETELY different (and pays way better! :) ) -
Several years ago, I dabbled in higher education, which was very different than my patient centered nursing background. I now teach full-time at a university but I'm odd in the sense I still practice part-time in my old career as well.
Often changing careers takes a leap of faith as the pay can vary and there are so many unknowns. Me, personally, I would not have done it if I were a single mom or my DH's job was not secure. But in the end, it has worked well for me and my family.
