Working Moms
I am just curious if anyone works at home as their career or maybe just for some extra money? I am really looking for something...
Thanks!:)

It's kind of a lengthy answer, but I'll try to shorten it up. :)
I was a teacher for many years, but was missing being with my family...I spent more time with other people's kids than with my own. So, I started looking at WAH options. I held several part-time WAH jobs for about 2 years (while still teaching full time). One of those was being a virtual teacher for online schools - but it was still only PT & I needed FT + benefits in order to stay home for good.
So, then my DH suggested I look at the company whose software I used everyday in my virtual teaching. Sure enough they had a job for a "product specialist"...someone who knew their product well AND had teaching experience. Perfect!
I interviewed & was hired. Because it was a corporate job, the starting salary was higher than my teaching salary was after all those years teaching. AND they provide all standard benefits + provide all equipments (laptops, monitors, etc.) + pay my internet & cell bills since I work at home.
I've been there 4 1/2 years now & 2 1/2 years ago I was promoted to a Product Manager. I now work with development to produce new releases of our educational software.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you get involved with that and what do you do?

Yes, I do...it's my full time career. I work in software development.

Wow, that's awesome! Congrats to you:). I am going to keep searching...I just can never tell what's legit, what isn't. But seriously that's great you found something even better than what you had:).
