Have to vent any suggestions on this

I am starting a new job and have to go out of town for training for 5 days. My stbx wants our son to stay with him and his gf and her kids. I've told him I'm not comfortable with this well at the same time his my stbx in laws agree and don't want ds to stay. Well stbx is pulling parental rights which he is right my ds has not stayed there since he moved. Well my in laws are now threating to get cps involved ( he will be taken care of at his dads). My lawyer who messed up the divorce and didn't file it I have waited
Y 60 days an now finding this out. Said don't let him go but after I drop my son off at day care I'm leaving to go out of town. Idk what to do

Has he done something to make you feel uncomfortable about it or do you just not want to leave him that long? I'm confused as to why cps could be involved, unless there's neglect or abuse going on.
