Do your kids wear store-bought or handmade costumes?
October 31, 2013 at 2:32 PM

My kids aren't dressing up this year but my neighbor's kids are going as a pirate and a ninja using things they have around the house. Her husband thinks they should've gone to the store to buy them costumes, saying their "thrown together crap" is awful. I think they look super cute!

Do your kids wear costumes you buy at the store or make yourself?

Store bought. We tried handmade twice...same idea both times...didn't work.

My daughter is wearing store-bought.  It's safer that way, lol.  I'd be more likely to poke my eye out with a needle than actually MAKE something. :P

Usually we don't dress up or take our kids trick or treating this year will be the first time ever. It all depends on the kid. Some are doing homemade and others are doing store bought.

Both, my son is wearing a store bought costume while my girls are wearing homemade costumes.

Depends on if we have the money to go get costumes or not. Some are using store bought costumes and some are using things around the house

my youngest has only had homemade and this is his third. this is the second year my other two. I enjoyed making them my oldest son wanted to be a turtle not a ninja turtle.

Once again, this year I spent the past month's worth of free time making a costume for my DD. I'd be just as happy to buy her one, if she ever wanted to be something where I COULD buy a costume for her. It would be so nice to have my October free time back!
