Can somene give me an easy colesaw dressing recipe?

I've made it the same way  for years and want to know how you make colesaw.Thanks Debra

    Mayo, vinegar, salt and pepper. Maybe a splash of lemon or lime juice if I have it. I do it by sight.

    Cole Slaw Dressing Recipe

    Cole Slaw

    Tangy Cole Slaw

    D. Rattray
    An easy cole slaw dressing, this is enough to dress about 1 medium head of shredded or chopped cabbage.

    Ingredients:

    • 1 1/4 cup mayonnaise
    • 1/3 cup sugar
    • 1/4 cup cider vinegar
    • 1/4 teaspoon celery seed
    • 1/2 teaspoon Creole seasoning or seasoned salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
    • salt, to taste

    Preparation:

    Combine all ingredients in a jar; shake well. Refrigerate for about an hour; dress shredded cabbage. This makes enough for about 1 medium head of cabbage. I add a little grated carrot and onion to the mixture, or you could use green cabbage with a little red cabbage.

    Simple...LOVE coleslaw, especially with sloppy joe's! Mayo (a better, thick, rich like Best Foods/Hellmann's) Salt Pepper Squirt of lemon juice (you don't want it too runny) Optional: A pinch of Coriander (good with cucumbers, too) or, my favorite..... Chili powder to taste (it doesn't make it spicy, just mellows out the eggs in the mayo) plus gives it a little color. I'm curious about the other suggestions....may have to try some of them out! P.S.- If you like juicy coleslaw, then grate your own cabbage and carrots. If you like it a little stiffer, buy the dryer, precut/prepackaged ready to mix coleslaw.

    Mayonnaise with cream added to thin it down. It's as simple as that.

    One if the resturants I worked at used poppy seed dressing.

    Amber's Slaw

    1 pkg old fashioned coleslaw mix (only use as much as you need)

    2 slices of tomato (averge thickness)... diced

    2 green onions ... diced (I use the whole thing)

    The following is "to your taste" b/c I never measure it:

    Mayo

    Mustard (go very lightly on this)

    Salad dressing (my secret ingredient): 

        blue cheese or ranch (bacon or cucumber is best, but plain works)

    Salt

    Pepper

    Basil

    Sugar

    You can cut up the stuff from the bag or leave it uncut ... I do both depending on my mood. Add tomato and onion, stir. Add mayo, mustard, salad dressing, stir. Then add the rest. 


    I get told that I have to either bring my slaw or don't bother showing up when it comes to cookouts or family dinners.
