How much do you spend a month in daycare? Is it more for a new born?

I haven't used daycare for 2 years but when I did, it was $55 a day for my 5 year old (missed the cutoff for kindergarten by 3 weeks) so was 5 most of the year but not in school yet.  I only needed 2 days  a week but if I'd done all week it would have been $1100/month.  I think an infant was closer to 70 but not sure.

We don't have daycare costs anymore but we paid $220/week through pre-k (they were also an accredited school). It was more than some but not the most expensive. We loved the place! They don't take kids under 1 and yes, it did cost more for the younger years and get slightly cheaper as they got older. The price included breakfast, lunch and 2 snacks and they're open from 7 am to 6 pm, no extra charge for extended hours. Both kids had great experiences there.
