How to make a ultra cheap vacation

We are going on a vacation. To help with cost we figured we would eat 1 meal a day in the hotel that we prepare. We will have a microwave, frig (freezers don't do much good in those little frigs), and a small electric skillet. Any ideas of goods that would e good to cook?

Make things you would normally eat at home.

We always get a condo and cook all of our meals while on vacation. That being said, I cook the kind of stuff I normally cook.

My parents always brought a big red cooler filled with ice and perishables like sandwich meat, cheese, mayo, milk and other ready to eat foods. they would cook meals ahead and pack them up. They also had a large bag with bread, cereal, coffee, fruit and other stuff. We would eat what we brought. We drove from indiana to the Grand Canyon and back eating this way. My dad would just buy ice and replace it when he got gas. And load up on ice in the hotel. When food ran low mom would go to a local grocery store and buy more. We never ate out.

You could buy a rotisserie chicken- to put in salads, chicken salad sandwiches or make tortilla wraps.

Make grilled cheese sandwiches or fry hotdogs.

Maybe get some tuna to make tuna salad sandwiches.

    Have fun!!!
