No chemicals get into the blood stream. That's a myth.
Most artists will not do a tattoo while you are pregnant, risk of infection, longer heal time, and (as with every single person who gets a tattoo) there is a risk of hep c which will pass to the fetus (of course that's why you do your research on the shop and artist to make sure they are clean!) and that risk is minimal at best)

No, chemicals from the ink actually enter your blood stream...
Also, no respectable tattoo artist would knowingly tattoo a pregnant woman.

Not a myth. I will have to find the other scientific study where people with tattoos had blood tests and the blood tests showed traces of the chemicals that are found in tattoo ink, in the individuals blood.
Now, I am not anti tattoo at all, i have many tattoos, my husband has many and we both plan on getting more...Currently scientists are trying to figure out if there is a link between cancer and tattoo ink.
