My daughters school play is about Jesus

They are doing a musical called "godspell". Would you allow your child in a public Highschool to be in a play like this?

it's been done as a High School/Community theatre play for so long I don't notice anymore

Yes if they wanted to be.. And I'm pretty sure we do that same play at my high school when I was in school

In a high school, yes, I would. There is a lot of great music, literature and classic theater that are religious in nature and I am not against them being taught in school as long as they are taught as such. My only issue comes in when public institutions are teaching that one religion is truth or absolute fact and others are not.

In Highschool, absolutely. By that time, kids  need to be making their own choices while parents step back and guide.
