How much for a family of 4 for the movies Or do you think a GC to please touch museum is better?
December 12, 2012 at 11:51 AM

Getting my babysitting families gifts for christmas.

Was going to do the please touch museum, but I know at least one family that probably wouldn't use it... and that would break my heart.

So I thought movies... maybe.

so how much should I put on each card, 2 adults 2 kids each.

or do you think a tickets to the Please Touch Museum is better?

Heck, We haven't been to a "first run" movie in I can't remember when! Way to expensive. We have a dollar theater in our town, thou now it's $2.50 but still a deal! They even have couples combo for $11.50 2 tix, large popcorn (free refills) and 2 large drinks! Can't beat that. Of course the Movies have been out a little while, but hey I don't mind.

I think our first run movies are $6.95 for matenee & $8.95 regular? (no discount for kids)

see I think its like 1050 for adults here.

I dont want to be a cheapskate...

but i want to give them a good time out as a family - they are all working families and dont have tons of extra income.

actually one is pretty well off but they are tight fisted LOL

    I dunno maybe 50 bucks a family.

How much is a family pass to the museum or zoo or something?

I think a $50 gift is a very genrous amount. I love the idea of a gift of a family outing! Very cool!

for the please touch museum its like 64 dollars

and the zoo is like 56

We use Fandango for movie gift certificates.  You designate how much the certificate is for.  And, the receiver gets to use it on the movie of their choice. We always buy one for our SIL for his birthday.  We set the amout to where their family of 3 can go to a couple of movies together and get treats at the concessions stand if they choose.  It's always a very welcomed gift, as it makes them take time out of their busy life and do something fun together.  =)

why not movies? Im not looking for major interaction. Just a funday out  on me. as a family.

a lot of working families can't afford a lot of that.

I dont know though - I might try to customize to fit each family, but ahts so much work LOL
