He has a harness. Most of the time he wears it. I know it should be every time. We were just going around the corner to the gas station. Literally we could walk there but needed the car to get gas.

I did but he's usually pretty good about sitting in an empty seat. Thanks for the idea though.

Anytime. I have a cat and when he was a kitten he would ride on my shoulder in the car. Now he is too big for that so looking for a good carrier. He is 10 yrs old.
