Mine freaked out one time and just started on its own, it was the middle.of the night and my husband was in bed. I heard it from the other room and went to the kitchen. it wad going strong but the display read END. I had a pie in a metal tin in it, so I ran over and tried pressing stop. it didn't work so I jerked the plug out of the wall. Scared the hell out of me. I am still convinced we had a ghost...there are other stories.
