how far in advance do you plan your childs costume?
last two years we have gotten lucky with dd's costumes
she was raggedy year before las and this year she was a scarecrow. i recieved mulitple compliments on it. i got the bright idea of dressing her in little red riding hood and my oldest son as the big bad wolf and me as the grandma
what do you ladies think?

LOL you are way ahead. We start thinking about it when school starts. We have gotten lucky we find her costumes right away and throughout the months add accessories. She was a princess kitty this year which got alot of compliments. She combined her old kitty ears with a new ballgown.

i don't start until oct 1st.
sorry but no need to plan a year in advance for a stupid little holiday.

She got upset if anyone called her a kitty princess. Apparently there is a big difference between the 2. We left off the hoopskirt since kitties dont wear them LOL.

I bought Dds in august this year. So only a

I buy costumes a size up from current during after Halloween clearance sales lol. I love homemade costumes but I can't sew. At all. -
We actually decided our theme for next year about a month before this Halloween LOL...we are big on Halloween planning its a huge family decision. The kids love that we all dress up.

I allow my kids to be whatever they want, so I would never plan their costumes for them. -
We start in January my son Hunter is born October 30 so its a very big deal for us. This is the first time in 3 years that he wasn't Iron Man
This year my boys were Darth Vader and Obi Wan Kenobi. -
they are only 7,5 and 3 so i ususally do plan them but they have input
