Family of Four....lets see under $25,000 was considered low income for DH, DD and myself, so a family of four, yes I can see where that would be considered low income. Than again, now that it's just DD and I it's hard enough to make 15,000 a year so I would probably kill for $26,000 lol.
Is because Im trying to get my son into head start. And every place that has head start for low income familys are saying we make too much and will have to pay full price instead of reduced/free head start. Appearntly low income to them is a family of 4 making UNDER $22,000.
Im frustrated..... and NO I DONT WANT EVERYTHING FOR FREE. I just want my child to be in school if we have to pay we have to pay but I would like to not have to sell everything in our home in order to pay for him to go.
That is below poverty level in my area. This is the break down for my area.
Housing and Urban Development has established median income to be $96,000 for a family of four, or $64,937.50 per person. The income limits are $33,600 (50% of median income) for very low-income and $20,150 (30% of median income) for extremely low-income.
