It bothers me a little. I never thought of it that way. But if I had daughters that's not what I would her to strive for. And I don't want my sons thinking that's the model for the perfect woman.

Here's a little fact I learned that really turned me off from pageants.
I don't know if it's this one, but one of the big ones always says the college the women attend. When I was in college they announced FL's contestant attended my college, but she didn't. Apparently if they take one course within a certain number of years they can list that as their college. She was a full time pageant girl not a college student. UGH

When I was little my grandmother and I always watched it together so I have nice memories of it. Now, you couldn't pay me to watch it. -
