I haven't posted here in a long time bc i haven't breast fed my daughter in 8 months. Please though im not breastfeeding im still producing milk and its got my boobs sore well mainly one is .i have a huge lump in my left breast and its just getting bigger .I've been seeing my doctors and even a surgeon . I recently had a breast biopsy done and it came back negative for cancer . And i recently had a new symptom which was a leaky yellowish brown discharge come from my nipple. She told me to express milk out to get that dark colored milk out . Well i did and nOw its a really light yellow cream color .she doesn't want me to express anymore bc in creating more milk . she's still telling me the lump is still backed up milk. She wants me to try cabbage leaves in my bra which i know is one remedy to dry up milk. I need helpful tips on drying up milk. This lump I've been in pain since October . So i could really use some help. Please .

It kind of sounds like a galactocele - basically a bunch of milk is stuck in a pocket and kind of turns to....oil or butter almost.

Can your doctor do an ultrasound and drain it? That may need to be done a few times before its empty.

Or you can go on birth control pills with estrogen (anything but the mini pill) for a month....even then you may need it drained a few times
