I must admit I am behid on this book club reading. I am reading two months at the same time and haven't gotten far. I guess 5 kids 7 and under will do that to you.
I am only on chapter 3 of the Marry Sutter book but (if of course it does not happen later) I feel there should have been a confrontation between Marry and the neighbor about him now seeing her sister. It would go something like this...
Marry, "I suppose my lack of experience in this matter may put me out of line, but did you not find an attection to me?"
Neighbor, "I must know, My dear Marry, that I can count on such tragedy as this (the loss of my parents) being nurtured by the woman I marry. I cannot choose for my wife, a woman who would choose to tend a new mother over me in my time of need..." If this does happen, please do not tell me so, I just thought that it was sessed up, probably because of my history with men, for a great explanation not to occur. No my sister never stole my dream man, but still...Replies
