Ideas for appreciation?

My mom is asking for my help in coming up with ideas for her and a few other employees to thank approximately 40 other employees for training them in their new positions.  She is looking for something personal to make these people feel special.

 maybe a nice coffee cup with a mini pkg of gourmet coffee?..or if they all work the same shift..a nice 'breakfast" ..muffins/juice/coffee..fresh fruit..
