Thank you very much. These are great post. Just one question when is the "official" time to start decorating for Fall? I wanted to start now but not sure if its too early :)To me, it's the day after Labor Day! I've got my fall swags over the door already. It just feels like fall.

Long ago when my girl was little (turns 20 soon!) we made a ghost garland. Take a white coffee filter,fold in half-then in half again-looking like a curved triangle. Take a marker to dot on eyes & a smile. Make as many of these as you want,then take a long piece of thick yarn or whatever you want to use as your garland, & attach these ghosts by their pointed tops by using hinged clothes pins. It's really cute. Another year we made ghosts to attach to our wooden gate in front of our door by using 2-3inch styrofoam balls that we covered with white tissue paper-cut long enough because you take a white pipe cleaner to tie around the bottom of the ball & then fluff out the tissue paper at the end to make it look like a ghost. Then use marker to put on eyes. With the rest of the pipe cleaner sticking out the back, use it to tie the ghost onto your outside fence, gate, or something inside. So cute. I'd put pic's up but this was a long time ago & isn't on cd or flashdrive...I'll try to get the pics to take a pic of them and put here in the next few days. So fun! :-) {10/12-still looking for those pic's! ugh...}

Fall decorations go up at our house in Sept. We decorate for Halloween at the beginning of October. We also use lots of glittery/fluffy/ brightly colored spiders, candy, bats, rats with hairbows and pumpkins. We also added a graveyard last year with silly poems on the tombstones. It you make the items funny and brightly colored they're not as scary.
