baby mums for new moms/hospital doors

I would love to make these a little better than the ones I have been making. My only problem is....when I get done making one, I think it looks tacky because of hot gluing the ribbons on the back of the wreaths...can someone please give me some pointers or add some pics of what the front and backs look like of the ones you have made?
