Homeschool 4 Preschool!!
How exactly to you teach a almost 5 year old how to spell? A few months ago Shawn asked me to teach him to read and now he's wanting to learn to spell. I have no idea where to start. Help?

We do worksheets & spell random words. The main thing is to have fun with it. We started working on reading & spelling just sort of followed. -
My 5 year old does Building Spelling Skills A from Christian Liberty Press. -

We play Hangman! Pick a category (animals, food, etc;). We have had so much fun this way. My 5 y/o (turning 6 in May) has been reading for a while and we will occasionally just do a spelling quiz, I will often ask his 2nd grade brother how to spell a word and he will spell it for me. Go with books you have read, start with simple words and then just keep going from there. That is great!
