Today's activity is homemade bug spray.
With summer comes bugs, especially mosquitoes. Help to prevent bug bites with a homemade bug spray or lotion.
2 Tablespoons of a carrier oil (I used coconut oil but Jojoba or Sweet Almond Oils are good options)
5 drops of Eucalyptus Essential Oil
15 drops of Lavender Oil
Mix oils together. Put into a small spray bottle or if you used coconut oil a small mason jar will work.
Is this a recipe you would try? Do you have a different bug spray recipe that you use?
Darn. I thought this was going to be a spray for bugs not just a repellent.
Yes I make my own repellent, but not with euc oil because
**eucalyptus oil is not safe for children**
But my sis just told me that sirracha kills scorpions. So I'm excited to try that out.

I may have to try this. We just try to avoid being outside when the mosquitos are at their 'peak'.

by Tree-TreeJune 26, 2013 at 11:16 AMWe use dryer sheets in our pockets. Sounds weird but it had always worked for us. I'm not really sure why.
by MonkiebutJune 26, 2013 at 11:19 AMI would not use this simply because I don't have the igrediants :/
