how can i get my 2 yr old to listen?

Wow, that's broad.....The best things I can tell you are to
A) Know what behaviors are important and unaccaptable to you. Make this as clear in your head as you possibly can.
B) Speak in simple headlines when talking to him/her.
C) Be consistant in your dicipline and praise.
D) Be liberal and enthusiastic with the praise... Think of overly enthuiastic Barney or some other annoying kids show.
E) Be swift with the dicipline. They have a short attention span. If he misbehaves in the grocery store address it then and there. Waiting until you get home will confuse him/her at this age.What do you mean by not listening? Like not responding when you call? Not following directions? Ignoring?

I Have to agree also.
i no when mine dosent leason and counting down from 5 or time out isn't work we have a firm talking to and a spank. but you have to stick to what you are telling them your going to do. other wise they get to know how they can walk all over you.
