That is NOT an appropriate prom dress!

DS is in 10h grade and he asked a girl to the prom which is next week. Last night she texted a pic of the dress she'll be wearing (that's not her, just a pic of the dress).

I think it's super slutty!  Too short and looks like lingerie.  How could her parents let her wear that??

I don't know what to tell you. Her parents allowed it. And, to be honest, I don't think it's that bad .... Spaghetti straps would help. My short strapless was made more demure when my mom made me a wrap( that I did wear all night)

Unless she's giving bedroom eyes all night, I don't agree with you. Especially when HER parents allow it.

I'm more curious how a grade ten gets to go without HIM being asked by a JR/ Sr prom.

That's how it works here. Prom is only for upper classman unless the do the asking a lower classman.

I guess it just works differently where you are.

I am truly sorry you are in distress over this, though.

There is nothing wrong with that dress. It is super cute and I would let DD wear it.

If she was standing straight ti would probably been close to her butt. Maybe she is wearing shorts underneath. If she is wearing shorts underneath I would not have a problem with it but it is not something I wold want my daughter to wear.

Really?? I like the dress!! I love the colors.

Do you know how tall the girl he asked is? This model has long legs so it may look short on her but may not be the case with someone shorter.

I would just like to say that the MODEL in the dress is probably 6 feet tall! The dress might very well be down to this girls knees!
