As our daughters get older they find out (if they prefer it) that diamonds are a girls best friend! When I was about 8 my mother gave me a pair of diamond studs, just tiny ones, that I still have today and plan on passing down to Dd when she is old enough to appreciate them.
Would you give your daughter or son real jewelry? About what age do you think is appropriate for it?

I think age depends on the kid some are more responsible.

Good jewelry is different for each family. None of us like diamonds. I have made each of my daughters their own necklaces out of jade and tiger's eye for their protective properties. For my daughter's 16th birthday she was given a rose quartz necklace. I mined the quartz myself from the river and wrapped it with wire for her. It is a stone that helps a woman find love. She wears it every day.

No they are only 4 and 3.

DD has her own sets of jewelry. Depends on what you are calling "good" she wears hers when she wants.

DD does have some real pieces that she can wear when she chooses. I think she started at about 7, but can't remember. I'm sure it was sooner then that with earrings.

Dd will get my pearls on her 16th bday just like I did. They started with my great grandmother. -
I tried to cut and paste it, but didn't work...lol! It was the one that said these are my favorite shows. That is super cute.
