Keeping our Kids Safe

I saw this link posted on a friend's page on facebook and I think it is something all parents should read, especially now while the sadness and fear is so fresh on our minds with Jessica Ridgeway's story.  There are some great tips in here about ways to talk to your children about safety that make so much more sense then the old "Don't talk to Strangers".  I highly encourage parents to read it.  It is called Tricky People are the New Strangers.  Be sure to share with your friends too!

I thought so many of her points were good.  There were a few that I thought maybe she went overboard on such as that nobody would volunteer to watch your kids just to be nice(my friends and I do this all the time for each others kids) and that if they came home from religion class with a keychain it was an issue(not necessarily) but overall I think the way she approached talking to kids about it makes sense.
