Yep, that or an apple. I do it for mine too. It's just not Christmas without a bowl full of fresh fruit on the table and a crap ton of cookies to munch on.

Nope but my best friends mom did and I think it's so weird. -
Mine did but DH's mom didn't so he won't let me do it to our kids. He says it should be filled with more fun stuff. I heard that it a tradition of some sort dating way back. I think it was something about turning something into a ball of gold which the orange was a symbol of.

My dad does. We get nuts, a nut cracker, and an orange in our stocking every year.

I didn't even have a stocking growing up!! But I put an orange in my daughters and an apple in my son's. He couldn't handle the acid from the orange and still can't... I am going to try a stocking with Tailer this year. She has autism and she doesn't pay attention to the stocking. It's hard enough, it takes us all day for her to open gifts. We don't get her many because we usually buy her things through out the year.At Christmas she opens 1 gift and has to play with it for a while. So cute

I really don't fill ours, need to start! MIL always has stockings filled so I just rely on hers :)
