Me and my bestie erin disagree on the right word when it comes to caffeinated drinks like diet coke, pepsi, and such. I say pop she says soda. What do you say? I want to prove that more people say pop over soda.

I grew up saying pop. When I lived in New York City I had to get used to the word soda. Either is fine with me.

Pop vs soda is a where in the country you live thing. People in Ohio are going to say pop more. In other locations it's soda and in some places it's cola. So depending where your friend lives she may be right. More people in her area may say soda. -
My dad is he's from cleveland we're in Cincinnati my mom is from Joplin Missouri she moved to cincinnati as a little kid though.
