I bought a girl elf. I'm outnumbered here, even our cat is a boy!
So when our elf arrived and it was a girl I told the boys that Santa must have felt bad for me. lol
It seems to have an effect on my oldest. He's been really well behaved lately. :-)

Yes, but we got a plush one ;) we wanted the original but couldn't find one -
They had them at Target but I didn't want to buy it when the kids were with us. So I ordered it from amazon.com and when it got here I acted surprised, " Oh gosh! Santa sent an elf! I guess he needs extra help keeping an eye on you guys!" lol

huh. I'm still not totally sure of what it really is...the whole elf on a shelf thing. Do the kids really get into it?
