I didn't have my first one until 5th grade! Its crazy isn't it some kids just go forever. DS didn't have one until he was 5 and it was really really bad one. =\
Good luck with the Zithromax though. That stuff causes me hell! I was laid up for 3 weeks after I stopped taking it because it kicked my butt so bad! I now tell docs I'm allergic. Several have told me its only an intolerance not allergic. I still debate with them until they give me something else. I have a kid now I can't be laid up they don't seem to understand that.

Some do. My ds had his first recently- at a year. DD's first was at 3 or 4.
But I see little kids all the time with chronic ear infections..
